[And then a sigh.] When he was human they called him William the Bloody because he wrote poetry and it was awful. They said they'd rather have a railroad spike through their head than listen to his poetry. So when he became a vampire...that's how he killed people, particularly the ones that didn't like his poetry. The name stuck and he has some idea that it's 'cooler' than William.
