[There's the sound of a splash, then some muttering as someone slogs their way out of the fountain. When the video finally shows something besides the water in the fountain, it's a very wet, unhappy Buffy Summers.]

Thanks City. I think you probably made me ruin my record.

[ooc: Buffy's back. I sort of forgot to do this until now. ANYWAY she's updated to the end of the S8 comics now.]

For not dropping cups. I'm a barista back hone. Which is new from the back home of before.

Ah, not dropping the coffee is a good thing. How was home?

Not so great. Here is kind of better. There are just more of my friends at home.

I guess which feels like responsibility ducking to me but...yeah.

Buffy?? Is that the fountain? Are you in the fountain? I'm coming okay? With a towel. Don't move.

Dawn.(that's relief in her voice because Dawn is still here.) I'm fountain soaked. A towel would be great. How long was I gone?

Almost two weeks. Too long. Are you okay? Is -- everything okay?

Everything is not okay but we're working on making it that way. [She sounds tired, haggard and worn. It'll take her a few minutes to get her cheerful face on.]

Where are you from? Post crazy apocolypse 2011?

That'd be me. And how do we save the world and I still end up enemy number one?

[She's clearly still doing the 'keep smiling and it'll all be alright' thing.]

In the way of sense that isn't with the sense-making.

[And here's Dawn with a towel. She spreads it out long-ways and envelops Buffy in a hug with the towel between them to soak up the water.]

[Buffy accepts the hug and the towel gratefully.]

If you start making those noises with Aya, I'm moving out.

We are never talking about those noises around Aya, okay? [She's kind of terrified of Aya leaving her. So no. She's keeping her big mouth shut on that issue. But she does hold onto Buffy for a little bit longer.] Are you okay?

[It's okay. Buffy's not minding the holding.] In the way that I'm not remotely but I'm a brave little toaster, yes.

We can both be brave little toasters... except I wanna be the four slotted toaster and you're only the one with two slots. Oh, and I do bagels too.

Why do you get to be more versatile? Maybe I want to be a toaster oven.

Toaster oven? Does anybody even use those anymore? They seem so -- I Love Lucy and Mary Tyler Moore - ish.

Of course people still use them! [She doesn't sound too sure of this.]

[Dawn just arches a brow, pulling back to put her hands on her hips.] I'm gonna go with no Scotty. Be something relevant.

Fine. I'm a food processor. I chop, I dice, I slice and I julienne not to mention mix, mash and mince.

Much better. How did we get started on kitchen appliances anyway? I forgot.

I have no idea. I can't keep track of our conversations.

Welcome back. I thought you were gone for good.

That prick Nathan's back too. But Sam's still missing. I'm glad you're back.

[She can't really remember who 'that prick Nathan' is or Sam but she gets his point. Some people haven't come back.]

That prick Nathan and I are just lucky that way. Thanks. I...am okay with being back. Things are easier here anyway.

You were gone for about a week. You okay?

[Congratulations, Pyro, you've managed to chip the 'keep smiling' armor she's been keeping up since before she got back to the City. She doesn't cry, exactly, because Buffy doesn't cry much anymore but she does do the tight throat, chest aching, stony thing. Because of this, it takes her a little while to get a text message back to you. However, she's supremely grateful that it's text.]

So much of the no but--I will be.
