46th Slay [Action]

[Buffy is sitting out on the patio of the coffee shop. Instead of her usual mocha, she's got a pot of tea sitting on the table. She's got some fashion magazines with her and she's flipping through them but really, she's watching the incoming crowd of people. She's definitely looking for people from Sunnydale but she'll welcome any distractions in the form of visitors.]

[ooc: anything goes! If you've got questions, feel free to ask. She's from the S8 comics finale]

[Sometimes she wonders how different things would have been if they'd stayed this way. Of course there wasn't any way to stay this way, not with the curse and the loophole.]

Tour I can do. I know all the best dark alleys and creepy buildings in the City.

Will we be seeing any action in these alleys?

[ he means of the supernatural, needs-a-beat-down variety, of course. ]

[She's assuming that's what he means but she hasn't forgotten that in Sunnydale they were often the scene of other action.]

Maybe. I patrol every night so it keeps them pretty clear on the first level. The other levels after that are less friendly and less populated by humans so...I don't go there as often. It's more of a really feeling the slay vibe kind of place.

[ "other action" that's rather fresh on his mind, given the point in time from which he hails. he almost expects their co-patrols to end up that way at some point in the night, having long abandoned his concerns over her attraction to him and the age difference he was so insistent on making a thing when he first realized they were developing into a thing. the technicalities didn't matter to him -- at least, not yet. funny how time had a way of messing everything up. ]

No humans to protect, no reason to be there. They don't ever wander closer than they should?

Re: action;

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2011-10-15 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's only fair as it occurred to her and it's not exactly fresh on her mind. If they have the age discussion again, she might punch him. And it would hurt. Yeah. Stupid time. Although everything in their world was kind of in cahoots with time on that front.]

Sometimes they'll wander up to the first level of the Underground and then very rarely up here. There's some warding down there that keeps most of the away from the entrance and this sort of safe path that's been laid out.

[And then furrowed brow.] I wonder if you'd be able to get back on the path if you got off. I think it's got more to do with intent than species.

Individuals with minds of their own, looking to cause trouble away from the herd?

action;

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Something like that and you know me, I've gotta be an individuality crusher.

action;

[identity profile] atonalism.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
And what about my individuality?

[ after all, he was the poster boy for not following the rest of the vampire herd. ]

Re: action;

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
[She squeezes his hand a bit and grins at him.]

Your individuality, I like. No crushing there. Promise.

[ a comment like that is rewarded with a kiss. ]

Re: action;

[Her first reaction is shock and some internal flailing. There's an overload of just...everything. In the end, it all gets pushed aside by 'it's Angel' and she relaxes a little into the kiss and then kisses back.]

action;

[identity profile] atonalism.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ angel draws back with a smile. ]

Where are you staying?

[ ever the gentleman, it's not a suggestion for something else, but simple curiosity as to where she's set up camp while she's here. ]

Re: action;

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
[She is probably going to kick herself when he's gone. She is probably going to lecture herself about how she shouldn't have kissed him. Instead she just smiles a little, ducking her head in a way that is much more like her sixteen year old self than her twenty-four year old self.]

Warehouse here. It's got a basement, training area, a couple of rooms.

[And then a pause because he won't know who Dawn is. Sure, Angel now might have memories of Dawn but she doesn't think Angel from when she was sixteen would.]

I've got a couple of room mates. [If he were staying, she'd explain Dawn but he's not. She knows that.]

action;

[identity profile] atonalism.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
[ it's that very sixteen-ish behavior that has angel acting this way. if she were more standoffish and resistant of his attempts to be close to her, he would've withdrawn. however, with none of those signs, he sees no reason to do take a step back. for all he knows, things are still okay between them -- good, even. ]

Slayer headquarters with all your essentially slaying needs.

[ that's for the best. he'd be rather alarmed by that, assuming he'd missed the very important little sister detail somehow. ]

Anyone I know?

Re: action;

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[She probably should be more standoffish. She knows that because things are far from okay between them and even further from good. He doesn't know that though and if she were to tell him that...they'd both end up miserable. Or at least she thinks he'd be miserable.]

I'm an essentials girl. Also a convenience girl because no walking to the gym.

[She figured so she shakes her head.]

No but they're nice people. Good to have as room mates. Dawn and I are close.

action;

[identity profile] atonalism.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good. That you have people. Being alone in a strange place isn't something I'd recommend.

[ 1902. new york. first time in america. he pushed the memories back. ]

Re: action;

[She raises one shoulder in a bit of a shrug.]

I've been lucky. The people here are all in the running for congeniality awards.

[Poor solitary Angel.]

How many people are there here?

[ his life sucks. :c ]

A little over half a million so...a lot bigger than Sunnydale. Much smaller than LA.

[Poor thing. It really does.]
