Are you dominant or submissive in sexual matters?
Okay. Let me stop laughing. No really, give me a minute. It’s not that the question is a funny one but the whole idea of me being submissive is more than kind of hilarious. In every situation I have to be alpha bitch and I’ve gotten over apologizing for that. Sex really isn’t any different. I mean sure sometimes it’s more about emotion but even then, chances are really good I’m going to take control at some point. Sometimes we go the whole nine yards with me in the knee high stiletto boots and him in handcuffs and I don’t know how other couples are with things like that but it’s not about strength or power really. I never put the handcuffs on tight because it’s not about keeping him there. It’s about getting him there. In the handcuffs (just in case there was any doubt about what I meant about there I mean…obviously eventually it’s about getting there but…shutting up now) It’s also kind of about the way he accepts me. And I know handcuffs and kinky sex aren’t usually about emotion but in a way it is. It’s like…love to me. I know that sounds weird and like S&M scary girl but it’s not when you think about it. First of all, it shows how much he trusts me. He knows I’m not going to leave him that way or hurt him or let anyone hurt him. Also, he’s really not a submissive person in his daily life. He’s a fighter. Fighters aren’t submissive. They can’t be or they get bulldozed over. Danny doesn’t let anyone bulldoze over him. Except me. In the bedroom. It’s also love because he has a tiny idea of how bad it would bother me to be handcuffed. It’s kind of like the claustrophobia, so he never suggests that we switch things up. It’s acceptance of who I am and what I am. Of course maybe he just really has a lot of fun being cuffed with me and all the symbolism stuff is because I’ve boiled my brain by watching reruns of One Tree Hill all day. Nah, I stand by it. Handcuffs mean he loves me.
