Fourth Slay [Video] Got a body like a battle axe

[The video comes up on one blonde slayer peeling tape off her hands. The video shifts up a bit to her face covered in a light sheen of sweat. There's a nasty bruise on her cheek and her lip is split but clearly it's already healing. She's out on the obstacle course.]

Plus side to being here? With dinosaurs, live action video games and the Underground I'm guessing there's no apocalypse in May.

[Buffy follows Tarrant, curious as to what he's made with her in mind]

Yes! Presents of the nonbirthday or Christmas kind

[Which are the best as far as she's concerned]

Oh, yes--a very merry unbirthday, as it is! I'll have to ask you at a later date about this Christmas--someone else mentioned it to me before...

[he walks to his forest of mannequins, walking between them--he finally finds the right one and carries it out and puts it before her with a smile]

[it seems he's tried to tackle some modernish looks, but mostly retains his classic victorian design--the dress (http://static1.modcloth.com/productshots/0035/6206/11555-1.jpg?8f16195404b3f179d560c00e619fbd5d8515942f) is a warm green, the bow around the waist a striking gold. The jacket (http://static0.modcloth.com/productshots/0045/4780/15043-1.jpg?8f16195404b3f179d560c00e619fbd5d8515942f) is a warm chocolate brown, the cuffs matching the belt on the dress.]

[There's a gasp and Buffy makes a circle around the mannequin then looks back up at Tarrant with a giant smile on her face]

Tarrant...this is incredible.

[She reaches out to touch the skirt of the dress, the edge of the belt then the shoulders of the jacket.]

For me? Really?

[he clasps his hands at her delight, smiling--this is his favorite part, you know--watching his clients--and dear friends--enjoy the pieces he's made for them. He nods, brushing down the sleeve of the coat, picking a bit of loose string off the back]

Entirely, utterly and completely yours. It was made for you. Down to the last stitch.

[he picks up the jacket and holds it for her to try on]

[She gladly slips into the jacket then turns and throws her arms around Tarrant in a hug]

You are a genius.

[he gives a surprised sound at the hug--and gladly hugs back, grinning]

If only to oblige and create, my friend.

[he pulls back to look at her--suddenly and surprisingly grateful for the City. Where else could he find someone with so much brightness like the slayer? He circles her lightly, before he gets misty, checking the fit of the jacket--as he did just eyeball the size, as usual]

Oh, you look splendifficant, Buffy--!

[he flits away to pull over a full-length mirror for her to see]

[One of the things Buffy loves about Tarrant is the wonderful words he makes up. She's definitely going to have to adopt some of them into her every day speech]

Yeah...I do.

[That's a big grin and a twirl]

You're going to spoil me, you know.

Entirely and completely impossible and improbable!

[he laughs a bit at the twirl, ever proud of his work, and how lovely she looks]

You're just a delight to design for! [and with a very meaningful smile, gesturing towards the numerous tables near the back of the shop, covered in hats hats and more hats]

Not to mention the outfit is incomplete. You're in quite the need of a hat.

[and he doesn't make them for just anyone either]

[She really is going to be the best dressed slayer ever. She sort of wishes Cordelia could see her now]

I get a hat too?

You really are my favorite person.

[And she walks along the tables inspecting the hats carefully.]

Which one do you suggest? [Because hats aren't her forte. In fact she's not sure she's ever really owned a hat]

[he chuckles, jovial, and walks with her, looking over his hats]

And you're of mine too, Buffy.

Let me thing...something not so wintery--plums and ribbon do you well, but not in excess--

[he walks down the table, a hand to his chin, thinking]

Felt, bobs, pabs and knobs...no, I think you need something daring. Bright. No, no, none of these will do!

[he reaches over and touches the lid of a hat box...and grins, sly]

I'll have to settle on this one.

[and he reveals his true surprise--a hat, made to match the outfit, small, stylish, and fedora like. There's a single yellow plum, and a deep purple ribbon around the base and flowing down the back. His true passion, and this one he's put a world of heart into.]

[Tarrant's presentation makes her laugh. Only because she hadn't suspected that he'd made her a hat at all. She'd only assumed he'd meant for her to pick one of out the ones he'd already made. When he unveils the hat she gasps because it's perfect. It's wonderful...]

It's splenderiffic

[Really a fedora fits her style perfectly.]

May I? [And she holds her hands out for the pretty creation.]

[he titters at her using his Underlandian chatter--catchy isn't it?--and he picks up the hat, fixes the plume lightly, and hands it out to her]

Of course. It was made for you, after all. Entirely, utterly, irrevocably yours.

[She's grinning so hard her cheeks hurt. She very carefully takes the hat and sets it on her head then, still grinning, turns to Tarrant]

Do I look marvelous? I could just kiss you.

[and he does blush, a light magenta color--adorably so--mostly from pride and joy. To know others enjoy his work is all he could ask for, and the greatest compliment he could ever receive]

Gloriffic, splendifficant, tandmonious, fantasmic, and absotively posilutely frabjous.

It's utterly you.

[Buffy laughs, tips the brim of her hat down a little and to the side.]

I'll be the best dressed slayer in town.

[Not that she'd ever wear this outfit slayer. It's more of a special occasion thing or a night out.]
