I think I know that one? It's all just...I'm really good at it but I don't know the proper names or schools or studies, you know? Giles says I'm a natural and very talented.

He tries to tell me the different schools and studies and processes and everything. I sorta just zone out. Also, I watch Kung Fu movies and try out what I see there.

Kendo is the way of the sword. There are many kinds of martial arts and sword arts. If you watch kung fu movies, you see mostly the Chinese martial arts.

Oh! I know how to use a sword. Giles got me a claymore for my last birthday. It's taller than I am which is pretty cool. My other sword is not a katana though (That's Japanese right?) it's uhm...well it's like an English sword. Straight and pretty and pointy. It's not a broadsword though, it's more delicate than that...a rapier maybe?

Honestly, I'm not clueless...well I am but just about the wordage.

I have an okatana. It is not as big as a Claymore, but it is bigger than the usual katana. A rapier is quite thin. An epee isn't quite as thin as a rapier, but it is still a thin sword. Rapiers and epees are French swords. Perhaps it is a sabre?

It sounds like your Giles wants you to understand many weapons so you can defend yourself in many situations.
