Ganked from Bee and Hiro

Arty Kid

Whether you were a drama freak or an emo poet, you definitely were expressive and unique.

You're probably a little less weird these days - but even more talented!

Well they got the unique part right. And I think I'm more talented these days? More experienced anyway.

And layovers suck.

I really figured that's the one I'd get.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, I'm surprised I didn't get the popular kid. I did spend two years as a cheerleader before the whole slay thing and then well I nearly killed someone trying to be a slay cheerleader but you know...I was the popular girl until I burned down the high school gym.

I suppose this one is more accurate? I think I got it because I put the worst thing about high school were the never ending detentions. Really it was more like constant threats of expulsion but...I figure same same.

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
You seem like you would've been the popular kid, slayage aside.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
slayage aside, I was. But you know...things happen with the slayage and the highschool was on a hellmouth and...how old are you? Were you out of high school when you became a slayer?

I mean seriously? Hellhounds attacked at my prom and a guy watched me break their necks. Like that's gonna win me popular kid points?

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I was, thank God. I'm 26. Can't imagine dealing with this as a sixteen year old kid.

...Holy crap.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Good. It is easier when you're 'grown up'. Honestly though, I haven't been a kid since...well a long time. Long before it was legal.

Oh that was maybe the most normal part of my prom. Of my entire high school career. I got to deal with my boyfriend breaking up with me two days before prom then showing up to dance with me and say goodbye. I wanted to break his neck and take the hellhounds back please.

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
I think it must be, cause yeah, like I said, how do you deal with this so young? I can't wrap my head around it.

Wow. And I thought my prom was bad.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the girls at the school are handling it okay. A lot of them are under eighteen but we've got an enviroment set up for them so that it's easier. When I was sixteen...I was the only one. You deal with it because you have to. I quit. A few times and I always came back because I realized if I didn't do it, no one else was going to save the world. I guess you deal with it because no one gives you a choice.

It sucked so hard core. On the upside, my dress was sweet and I got a little umbrella. A class protector award from the senior class. My class had the lowest mortality rate of any senior class at Sunnydale.

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
It's good that they're dealing with it...Spike and I actually got in a debate the other day about whether or not there was an age limit on being a Slayer. And by debate I mean that I prattled and he rolled his eyes and made lots of smart-assed comments.

I would've quit too, I'm sure...I can't imagine being the only one in the world.

Lowest mortality rate. Well that's...good?

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Personally, if I could do something about it, I'd put the age limit at eighteen. Very minimum. I don't think I was actually dealing with it until I was closer to nineteen.

And yeah, that's how debates with Spike usually go. He and I usually end up decking each other before it's all said and done. Xander swears it's my fault. He says I try to solve everything with violence and it's possible he could be right because I never fight with Angel that we don't end up hitting each other too. Anyway...

I think I would have done okay with the not quitting if I could have just slayed. It was all the other problems that got to me. Plus, I hung onto the normal girl thing for just a little while too long even when it was very clear that *I* was the abnormal part of my life..

Are you kidding? It's great. One of my favorite slayer achievements.

So why was your prom so bad?

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds like a good idea, wish you could implement it.

I only hit him when he's being a total ass, really...he's just a total ass really often.

Oh, I've heard quite a bit about Angel. Yeah. Let's just leave it at that.

One of my classmates threw up on my dress. It was white. I was pretty inconsolable.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
*laugh* Oh if I didn't like you before, I would just for the fact that you hit Spike on a semi regular basis.

Yeah...leaving it at that is probably good. I can imagine.

Oh...and let me guess it was from something pinky or red and alcoholic. It always is with something white. I knew about the hellhounds beforehand so I went in slay friendly clothes then changed into my dress when I was done. I loved my dress.

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Only when he deserves it, I swear! He just deserves it a lot!

It was. Punch with God knows what in it, probably gin. I cried so hard over that dress.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh honey I spent years putting up with him. I understand completely.

Aww that is sad. The occasion to wear a pretty dress just does not come along often enough.

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, someday we'll have to talk about how you managed that, cause as it is, I think I should qualify for sainthood for not killing him yet.

That is so true. I shouldn't have bought the damned white dress in the first place, though, so it was at least partially my fault.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
How do you think I got into Heaven? Riley staked him once. With a plastic stake. He actually didn't deserve it that time.

When I get settled in New York you'll have to come visit. We can find a swanky club to go to one night, gorgeous dresses and all. It's a girl thing. I had a white dress for an end of the year dance. It got ruined too.

[identity profile] deep-red-bells.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh Lord, I'll have to get that story out of him.

You went to heaven, really?

Oh, I so will. I would love to go to New York. That you're inviting makes me feel like I can go guilty free.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Spike did the right thing and Riley was pissed at him for it because it ended up being what killed Riley and me.

Yeah. For three months. It's real. It's awesome. You're just...finished. And personally, I think all slayers get to go there.

We'll have so much fun. I don't know it very well but Danny has lived here his whole life so I'll get him to help me plan out stuff for us to do. I did see Dracula on Broadway and if it's still here when you come, we have to go. They nearly threw me out because I was laughing so hard. It's not supposed to be a comedy.

[identity profile] stillacrime.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Who says weird isn't good?

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It's better than boring. And when I get to be a little old lady they can say I'm eccentric. Like Mrs. Haversham. Yes Giles who is looking over my shoulder, I READ a book!

Okay so I saw the movie. Gwyneth looked great in it. I believe the point here is that I knew it was a book.

[identity profile] stillacrime.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know what I'll be when I'm old. Grumpy old man.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Grumpy old man is better than stuffy old man. There's room to work. I'm going to wander around the house in my favorite evening gown, mutter to myself, drink too much, talk about my glory days and occasionally still think I'm 27. It's going to be awesome.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
You want to watch me be insane?

Is this a fetish I should know about?

[identity profile] stillacrime.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Watchin' you in general? Yeah, fetish.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I see my plan to convert you to the religion of Buffy Obsession is right on track *grin*

As long as it's not a watching me go insane fetish.

[identity profile] stillacrime.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm weak to your plans, what can I say?

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
See I find weakness in a man terribly sexy.

[identity profile] stillacrime.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Then consider me sexy... sometimes.

[identity profile] whattingawhat.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I do. All of the time actually.

[identity profile] stillacrime.livejournal.com 2008-04-14 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll take it.
