[Buffy is lying on the couch in her warehouse wrapped up in a blanket. She looks exhausted mostly because she is. She also looks pouty because...well she gets that way when she's had a bad couple of days and she's tired.]

Freaky statues seem to have gone back to whatever bizarro world they came from. Everyone present and accounted for?

I need some serious 80's movie time clockage.

Also, Charlie, are you okay?

Uhm...hello? I live with you. I was one hundred percent aware of your okay status.

[And now she's getting crinkled brow and 'whaaaat' look.]

No one died. I'm tired and closing my eyes...yeah not going to do that anytime soon.

How? Cause I totally haven't seen you except in passing since the Angel event. And passing doesn't count as an are you okay. It counts as knowing I'm present and accounted for. So you're asking me the wrong question. Also, why wouldn't Charlie be okay? Did something happen to her?

[Legitimately concerned about Charlie. And yeah, she's glad no one died, but being tired does not account for the emo-ness so Dawn being Dawn she's gonna push a little bit more.]

Tired doesn't equal emo and you are definitely emo. I mean yay for no one dying but that means you have to spill about what's on your Slayer brain. [So she sits down on Buffy's feet, yep... ON Buffy's feet.] So spill. I can play therapist.

I still knew where you were. Charlie disappeared. The angels kidnapped her or whatever you call what they were doing.

[Buffy squirms a little. She's used to Dawn doing this sort of thing.]

Honestly, I'm right as rain. Or however right rain gets when it's not a giant monsoon of water. [Someone still hasn't dealt with everything back home and is being avoidance girl but since she is being avoidance girl, she's totally not going to spill to Dawn.]

Where did they take her? Cause that's what I've been wanting to know since everyone said they were kidnappers, not killers. Also, what was that big thing you killed the Judge with called? Cause I'm gonna commission a few of those to be built at City Solutions for next time.

[Seriously. They need weapons. Dawn holds her ground as Buffy squirms just a bit.]

You know, in order to have right rain there has to be wrong rain which I totally don't get. How is rain ever wrong or right? Can't it just be wet and leave it at that?

I don't know. She doesn't know I don't think. Just gone. [She furrows her brow and then realization hits.] Rocket launcher. Probably good but probably also not general public kind of things.

Too much wet and things start getting floody though.

Well it's not like I would hand them out like candy, I'm really not stupid, you know. I'd give them to the people who keep rescuing all the ones who get nabbed or hurt or can't help themselves or whatever. Those people would use them for good. Why would you think I'd give them to the general public? Give me a little credit!

[Dawn does a dramatic eyeroll, which she does very well by the way. Then she pauses just a beat before speaking again.] So what can I do to make you less mopey? It's the most wonderful time of the year, Buffy. You can't be mopey this whole forever. And you've been mopey for awhile now, lets be honest.

All the credit being given. Cross my heart.

[Buffy purses her lips and wiggles her nose a bit]

Pretty sure it's deserved. The mopeyness. I killed all the magic in the world after almost destroying the world by--I should have known nothing good would ever come of Angel and me together. Lesson learned a long time ago.

[Okay, she's going to let the fact that no credit is being given go because she finally got Buffy to start talking about things that are actually important. Dawn gets all focused, her face serious and listening for a brief moment before she shakes her head at her sister.]

You and Angel are epic. We all know that so surely the two of you are in the know about it too. I mean how many times in your life are you gonna come across epic? Not very often to not at all for most people. You've had it. No one can be all 'I told you so' about your wanting epic again. I would think once you've had epic, everything else pales in comparison -- which come to think of it kind of makes me feel sorry for Riley, Spike and Satsu. How could they live up to epic, right?

[There was totally credit given! She even promised there was credit being given. However, yes less important than the conversation they are somehow having now. She sighs, giving into the pout.]

Declaring nunhood would probably be easier on me and the world. because like you said, not so much measuring up and at least that way, I wouldn't start any apocalypses.

Nunhood is totally not an option for you. You'd have to cover up your hair, first of all. And you have great hair. Plus no one looks good in those outfits except in the movie Sister Act. And if you think being with Angel was all complicated and uungh – imagine being married to the Lord God Almighty. I mean really think it through. Besides that apocalypse was obviously impending anyway.

[She looks down into her lap for a brief moment and studies her nails, painted a glittery red at the moment.]

And with the whole magic thing. You and Willow both got through life without magic when you first met her. Remember? It's hard when you know what you're missing out on but at the same time – it can be all doable and stuff.

It would be hard to slay in aaaaaand the apocalypse is always impending. [She bites her bottom lip] This one cost a lot though.

[She takes a deep breath, not entirely sure she wants to have this conversation.] Too bad you're not the head of what everyone feels about the situation.

[Dawn fiddles with the hem of her skirt for a moment, not really saying anything. This apocalypse had indeed costed a lot. But one of the best things about Buffy was that she always bounced back like a boomerang. This long period of depression her sister had been going through was worrying Dawn. Sure, her sister was more than entitled. In fact, Buffy was probably the most entitled person ever. Maybe this time had been one time too many, and the cost too high.

The problem was, that Dawn didn't know how to fix it. She wanted to fix this for Buffy the way her sister had always fixed things for her, but she didn't know how. She couldn't bring Giles back. She couldn't give Willow her magic back.

At that last thought, the beginnings of an idea began to circulate in Dawn's mind. Magic wasn't gone here in the City. In fact, it ran rampant. Maybe... just maybe.]

Yeah but I'm the vice president so my feelings are the most important. And I'm only vice president today cause you're all mopey and I'm letting you be the president because I'm a giving leader and my generosity knows no bounds.

[Buffy does the bright smiles and chatty cathy thing with other people which Dawn may not be particularly thrilled with. She's good with letting down her guard around Dawn.]

Does that mean I get to wear the crown in light of all your generosity?

Yes it does. And I might have added some extra bling to it so it's extra awesome. See how nice I am?

[She puts on an air of mock superiority with a chin lift and a self-assured grin.]

I could totally be ruler of this place.

Are you going to get sulky if I make some comparisons and comments about you and the deities?

[She says it teasingly of course.]

I am totally better than those guys. First of all, not evil. And second, I don't even care what's inside people's heads so I wouldn't be all ooo mind games! Stupid mind games.

Which is sort of driving home the not evilness.

Yeah and if I ever do go evil, you have to stop me cause I don't wanna be one of the big bads. I've seen what happens to them and it's not pretty -- or painless -- or pro-life. I like being a part of the land of the living.

There will be all the stopping. Shackles, chains and tranq guns. I like having you on the side of good.
