[The video clicks on to Buffy lying on the couch with a blanket pulled up to her chin. She's got her arms wrapped a stuffed pig that's not Mr. Gordo but a close enough replica. Her eyes and nose are red. She looks absolutely miserable. On the coffee table in front of her, there is an assortment of kleenex, cough drops, cough medicine, aspirin, teapot and cup.]

Not funny, City. Slayers. Don't. Get. Sick.

Well I'm... the best damn retrieval expert you'll ever run across.

[Said a bit cocky but Eliot was proud of what he could do. He settled back against the headboard careful to keep his boots off the bed.]

But really I'm just a thief for hire, wanted all over the world. But I steal priceless artifacts for the right price in my free time. And when I don't have free time, I'm workin' with a band of thieves, all specializing in something. I'm obviously the muscle, studied every hand to hand combat style there is. We kind of uhm... rob from the rich and give to the poor. A redemption kind of thing if we weren't all still doin' our own little side jobs. But kind of... redemption. Weighs the good with the bad, for us, I guess.

[And he finally looks sideways to her.]

[Buffy listening. She might not want Eliot to steal her things--not that she had anything worth stealing except the scythe--but she's not entirely sure that he's not doing some sort of good thing with the whole rich and poor deal.]

I used to have a crush on Costner's Robin Hood.

[He smirks.]

I'm a helluva lot better than him. And I don't wear tights.

Alright but hands off my scythe. I know where you live. [She's teasing, mostly evidenced by snuggling up to him more than tone of voice, which is still sort of pouty. Model patient? Not so much]

I wouldn't steal anything from you.

[He smooths a hand down over her hair and kisses the top of her head.]

I haven't even stolen anything here yet... nothin' big anyway.

Well be careful. I don't want my boyfriend in jail.

I could break out anyway, done it a few times.

Okay. Thank you for coming over here to see sickly me. Mom used to say I was a bad patient.

I thought you don't get sick.

[He's teasing her now.]

I used to get sick like a normal person before I became a slayer and then a year or so after...things were crazy and I wasn't sleeping or eating and people kept dying and I couldn't--wouldn't do anything about it. There was a really bad flu going around town, a lot of kids were in the hospital with it. Anyway I caught it.

Oh, so you still sometimes get sick? When it's really bad contagious?

Paired with run-down and stressed out, yeah. It's the only time I've ever gotten sick as a slayer though.
