45th Slay [Video]

[Buffy flips on the video and steps away from it so that the City can see her new outfit. It's not so bad. It could be worse but all together it's a bit...well much.]

You know, I woke up this morning and decided: shopping spree. A girl needs pretty clothes to work in and date in and slay in. [She twirls a bit here.]

Dawnie, sister sponsored shopping trip if you want to come along. [Of course she'll be bossy and try to wrest you into the latest couture Dawn.]

[They can hope. But if everyone is feeling the urgency Buffy is feeling and if everyone is as worried about things being picked over before they get there, then this could be a frenzy. It's really a good thing she wore sensible shoes. Dawn digs through her purse as she talks to her sister on the way to wherever they were going.]

Yeah and you only wear that wedding dress one day before you can't anymore. I mean, you could, but people would think you had lost your marbles which no thank you. I think I can legitimately be accused of that on a regular basis and don't need any help being all weird girl from a thousand dollar white dress. Psh!

And you know how Missus Haversham turned out. No one's ever gonna worry about you if you decide to wear a thousand dollar little black dress. In fact, they might call you Audrey Hepburn or Holly Golightly.

[Apparently Buffy has never watched one of those bridal paloozas before. On that day every girl is a Slayer. It's brutal. Dawn comes up with a hair band and begins to work her hair up into a ponytail and then twisting it into a loose bun. If there's going to be fighting and hair pulling, she wants hers out of the way.]

Strangely, I wouldn't mind being Audrey Hepburn or Holly Golightly cause -- gorgeous and not at all awkward. Plus the clothes. And the hats. Audrey could pull off an awesome hat.

[Oh she has. She just has more faith in her slaying abilities when combined with her shopping abilities.]

She really could but somehow I never really find an occasion for a hat in my life.

[Her hair tightly secured, Dawn hurried to keep up with Buffy's quick pace. She's never combined shopping with slaying but it does sound like it could be entertaining at least. She links her arm with Buffy's as they walk side-by-side and lightly bumps her sisters shoulder with hers.]

So since this is a sister outing, I think we should talk boys while slay-shopping too. How goes it with Pyro? Are you to the sex part yet? Cause we should make a system at the warehouse about code for boinking, like a sock on the door knob or something.

[Buffy slows down to match Dawn's pace. She's right there with her until Dawn asks about the sex part and then there's a gasp and some deep red blushing.]

No! I mean...no. We're just--we're just still in the dating part. Just the dating part. Besides, he's got his own apartment.
