47th Slay [Accidental Video]

[The device is sitting on a table behind Buffy. When it comes on, it shows Buffy standing in front of a mirror. She runs a brush through her hair then her fingers before she looks up into the mirror. She startles at seeing her reflection, but doesn't scream then takes a step back. Hovering there above (or perhaps beneath) her reflection is a ghost of how she looked before Willow pulled her out of the grave, half decomposed. She turns to see the device on, still looking shaken and pale.]

So...curse day, right? Otherwise there's going to be some mirror breaking in my house and I seriously don't need any more years of bad luck. Or maybe if you break a creepy mirror it goes the other way. Seven years of good luck.

Fingers crossed.

I'm going to throw chalk at you. [No she's probably really not going to.]

We don't need any bud nipping. Angel's not here and besides the girls in the sappy romance movies never go stake vampires or behead monsters. Let's face it. Life with Buffy is much more dramedy-horror.

That's because girls in sappy romance movies don't have the cool vibe like you do. And yes, I just said that you're cool. Write it down and take note cause it doesn't happen very often.

[No, usually Dawn doesn't tell Buffy how great she thinks she is. They're sisters. They argue and play around and are silly together. But compliments? Dawn figures Buffy, who is good at everything from her perspective, already knows she's good at everything and much with the cool. But she also knows that sometimes it's nice to hear it. Deep down, despite Dawn's bratty-ness and argumentative nature, she's always looked up to Buffy.]

Besides, some guys go for that whole dramedy-horror thing, especially when one half of that kind of relationship has good hygiene and flowy hair.

Taking note and dating. [Buffy smiles slightly at Dawn. She tucks her hair behind an ear.]

Well I do have the whole good Summers hair thing going on. Lucky for you, it's genetic.

[Even though her hair is in a ponytail she tilts her head back and pretends she's dramatically shaking it out like a shampoo commercial.]

Don't hate us because we're beautiful. [She looks back to her sister.] We could totally do one of those hair commercials.

[Buffy laughs a little at that.] We could. I vote for doing that when we get back. It'll finance new apartments and make a lot more money than coffee shop barista.
