48th Slay [action] They'll have to go through you first

[Buffy is in full patrol mode. She's even got the commando thing going for her with black cargo pants and a black turtle neck. The bright red pea coat isn't exactly military issue though nor are the fashionable high heeled black booties she's wearing. She's got her hair pulled back into a ponytail and she's wearing a sling style back pack filled with a variety of weapons. Stakes, both silver and wood are shoved into the waistband of her pants. There's water guns filled with holy water in the pockets. She's got dead man's blood, tranq guns and lead stakes. She's spent the week at the library doing research on various types of monsters from various worlds so she knows what she's up against.

Not that that's going to make it easy. It's never, ever easy.]

[ he pauses when she steps back, sickle still heavy in his hand. so killing him fixes him? Karkat considers the possibility... he's aware that death here doesn't carry quite the weigh that it does in the Medium, under certain circumstances. honestly, he doesn't want to be City dead.

Karkat puts his sickle back in his strife deck, just standing there. ]

[ kind of rolls his eyes. there's nothing to actually lose, belief that it's a cure or not. perhaps he should be thankful that being a rainbowdrinker doesn't necessarily do anything to change the personality of a troll - something to consider if he ever runs into one ~~Kanaya~~.

and death? well that's something that he's just come to terms with. chances of dying in the Medium are kind of at 90%, and mostly by the hand of either Jack or Gamzee. again... can't be afraid of the inevitable, can you? ~~just wait until that canon update.~~

but he doesn't want to see it coming, nope. doesn't want to anticipate. so when she pulls back, he shuts his eyes and his hands clench at his side.

[Buffy will stick around because no one should wake up dead alone so when he does wake up, she'll be leaning against a wall nearby decidedly not dealing with the fact that she's killing more and more people she knows, or will know, today.

[ and sure enough, Karkat's eyes open and he's stumbling around to sit upright. better believe he's feeling his neck. then fangs. back to normal size.

Karkat then looks at his hands. no glowing. well - ]

[Buffy shrugs a little. It makes her feel a bit better when they come back.] You can send the therapy bill to the deities.

I'll pass. I already made one fucking deal and I don't intend on getting involved with them again.

[ pushing himself up to his feet. ]

Spare me. In what goddamn universe would this situation fall under the "nice to meet you" cliche? It doesn't, so pleasantries are far from necessary.

[ rubs at his neck. ]

[Buffy gives him a bit of a smile.]
