My kingdom for a yogurt or...grapefruit. I like grapefruit. I wonder if the City would be sympathetic if I told them I'd just started a low carbs diet.

I teach weapons training classes and fight in the Arena. Think Gladiator without the leather bikinis. Most of the time. [The movie reference she made will go over his head but fortunately he probably knows what a gladiator is so it works. Just not how she meant it.]

There's an arena? [ Would you look at that, genuine interest. ] Oh, you and Carter'd get on jus' swell. We don't get many dames who know how t'kick ass where m'from.

Yup. It's in the Underground. You place bets and everything. [Buffy smiles a little and shrugs.] There's not that many where I'm from either. [At least not that many who aren't vampires or witches or some other form of demon. Even then, she's pretty sure they make up the minority.]

Oooooh yeah. You have no idea how often tiny and blonde equals helpless to some people. I get 'but you're just a girl' all the time.

[Granted, she's a lot stronger than any normal guy out there but she still gets it.]
