But there are 80's movies to watch with music montages. [Also, it's very sweet that he's offering to watch out for evil statues for him. She starts off that way, clamoring over the back of the couch and patting the space next to her.]

It's always for now with the City. [If she's honest, it's always 'for now' in her life too.]

Yup. Always for now. [ He sits down next to her. ] So 80's movies... Are we talkin' 'bout shit like Terminator here? [ And at this point he starts humming that famous Terminator tune. ]

[His hopefulness makes her giggle. She does grab her blanket, snuggles up a bit to him and continues the giggle.] You wish. I like the sound affects though. Ever hear of The Breakfast Club.

[All the giggles. She reaches over and gets a red licorice whip and a can of soda, handing him both.] I think you're going to need these.

You can't get drunk watching old 80's movies. It's against the rules. [The rules she's making up right now. She reaches over, takes the licorice whip from him and bites off both ends of it then pops the tab on the can of soda. She sticks the licorice whip in the soda and hands it back to him.] Licorice flavored soda. It's yummy.

You are so fucking cute. [ He just wants to squish her. Which would be un-Allerdyce of him. Yes. There is such a manner of behaving. It means to act like a badass at all times. And he didn't just use the word cute. ]

Okay. So The Brunch Club. Let's do this.

[She likes being called cute though. She also likes being squished. She won't tell anyone, besides there's something to be said for acting in a manner that makes people underestimate you. She's gotten it down to a science. She grins at him and starts the movie.]

You're gonna want to add 'genius' to that when you taste the soda. [She leans against him. No use having people come over and watch movies with you if you don't snuggle.]

Not bad, genius. [ He smirks. ] Now who's in this movie and what's it about?

[Oh good. That was his move.] Not that I'm the told-you-so kind of cute, genius but...[She looks side to side in an exaggerated manner.]

Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, a Broody guy I can't remember but he's important because...broody guy. [And for the audience, what's Buffy's type...ah yes, I think we see where the important is coming from] and some other people. They all have Saturday morning detention.

[ He suddenly cranes his neck to look behind them. ] Dawn's out?

Yup. At work. So's Aya. [Contemplatively she looks up at him, sort of an upside down sort of deal from her position.] You got fuzzy. [Her fingers are very itchy to reach up and run them over his beard but she's not certain it's really allowed.]

But I'm going to need some Terminator, Gladiator, Jaws, Piranha, Chucky... Okay, maybe not Chucky. [ As a kid, he hated that stupid freak doll. ]

Dolls are creepy. No movies with creepy dolls. Mmmm I'll come over occasionally to keep you from getting bored. Break it up with Saturday morning detention movies. [Because there are so many of those.]

With that sort of offer, how can I refuse? [She shifts a little so that she's actually lying against him instead of just leaning, stifles a yawn in his shoulder and really she'll be asleep in a few minutes despite the fact she does like this movie. It's too tempting: safe, warm, comfortable and someone she's pretty sure she trusts to watch over her. It's something she doesn't usually get.]
