20th Slay [Video || Action] Created you a monster

[There's a tiny, unassuming blonde fighting for her life. She's got a gash above her eyebrow that looks hours old. A heavy fist catches her under the jaw and she stumbles back, her head hitting a tree. She goes still, tension leaving her body. Her opponent advances, a knife in his hand. The blade comes toward her throat, the man leaning over her body. Buffy's eyes fly open and she grabs the man's shirt, shooting her knee up into his gut]

Boys. You just can't resist a fall and faint.

[There's an audible crunch when she slams his hand hard into the ground, rolls to her feet while simultaneously forcing him to his back. The sharp heel of her boot digs into his throat.]

My bad. I thought I could try the whole damsel in distress thing. Turns out I still suck at it.

[She removes her heel only to kick him hard enough in the temple that he goes unconscious.]

It's like Homecoming all over again.

[Honestly, he'd spot her anywhere. But he catches that flash of blonde hair out of the corner of his eye and would know that fighting style anywhere seeing as they had sparred on many occasions and he is ever the studier of combat styles. He moves closer to her, his back to her back as they circle the surrounding foes.]

Playin' damsel, are ya Rocky?

[She makes a full quarter of a turn, fist cocked to hit him when she sees who it is. A smile spreads across her face and she relaxes, falling back into a defensive stance with her back against Eliot's.]

I can't help it. They always fall for it. Playing hero, Sugar Ray?

[They circle around back to back in defensive stance.]

More like playin' survive through this... which is lookin' kinda grim. What the hell's goin' on? Do you know?

[Buffy kicks out, catching an opponent who wandered too close in the chin]

Nope. At least their not lions?

Lions would be better. With a lion you can predict their movements, they're too big and heavy to move without a tell and don't think enough to change their mode of attack.

[It made sense to him at least.]

Yeah but fangs and claws--and okay not that diff--Incoming [And she catches someone by the arm,dips her shoulder as he runs/she pulls him into her. With a twist and a shove, Buffy flips him over her and Eliot so that the guy lands in front of Eliot]

Shouldn't you be more worried about yourself? I'm more worried about you.

[She's not okay, no. Something weird just happened between her and Xander and she has no idea what it was. She just knows she feels awful. But that seems stupid compared to what's going on with Buffy right now. So she just watches the scene worriedly as another person approaches her from behind.]

[She spins on her heel, catching the approaching opponent in the solar plexus with the heel of her boot then another kick to the jaw. She crumbles and Buffy stays on the move.]

Sorta of goes with the Big Sister territory.

[Dawn is completely tense as she watches the skirmish. She reaches down to a bag she has beneath her bed filled with weapons.]

I'll come help you. I'll bring you extra weapons even so you can... why are they attacking you?

No! Dawn. Send the weapons in with the squirrel things. I don't want you in here. Just in case.

They're afraid I might get bored? Or the first implanted chips in their head and is playing a pretty song? I don't know.

But it looks like there's too many of them!

Are they all vampires?

[ despite the spat the night before Xander is in the doorway before he closes her bedroom door. ]

You can't leave the house, Dawn. You can't help Buffy. I can't -- watch you do that too. So, if I have to, I'll stand here until midnight.
