[Buffy is lying on the couch in her warehouse wrapped up in a blanket. She looks exhausted mostly because she is. She also looks pouty because...well she gets that way when she's had a bad couple of days and she's tired.]

Freaky statues seem to have gone back to whatever bizarro world they came from. Everyone present and accounted for?

I need some serious 80's movie time clockage.

Also, Charlie, are you okay?

[She's used to boys that go away or stalk and avoid for weeks at a time. The look she gives him when she pulls away is disapproving.] Next time your sick I'll knock you on the head, shackle you in the basement and feed you chicken and stars instead of alcohol.

[And disapproval is replaced with a smile.] Tired. Lots of really rather not close my eyes. I don't think slayer me is convinced the statues are gone. Or the blink muscles in my eyes are a trophy from not blinking the last twenty four hours.

[ Yeah. He did drink a ton of alcohol in the hopes that he'd feel better. Of course, the liquor only made him feel worse. It was an idiotic move. ]

Good thing I'm here then. You should get some sleep. [ He nudges her back towards the couch. ]

I'm pretty fucking sure the statues are gone. For now. [ Yeah, they're never gone for good. ]

But there are 80's movies to watch with music montages. [Also, it's very sweet that he's offering to watch out for evil statues for him. She starts off that way, clamoring over the back of the couch and patting the space next to her.]

It's always for now with the City. [If she's honest, it's always 'for now' in her life too.]

Yup. Always for now. [ He sits down next to her. ] So 80's movies... Are we talkin' 'bout shit like Terminator here? [ And at this point he starts humming that famous Terminator tune. ]

[His hopefulness makes her giggle. She does grab her blanket, snuggles up a bit to him and continues the giggle.] You wish. I like the sound affects though. Ever hear of The Breakfast Club.

[he's so lucky she hasn't made it to Pretty in Pink because that's on the 80's movies starring Molly Ringwald schedule.]

Is it something like The Fight Club? [ Yeah, he's still hopeful. ]

[All the giggles. She reaches over and gets a red licorice whip and a can of soda, handing him both.] I think you're going to need these.

[ He has no idea what to do with the licorice whip. ] I think what I might need is some liquor.

You can't get drunk watching old 80's movies. It's against the rules. [The rules she's making up right now. She reaches over, takes the licorice whip from him and bites off both ends of it then pops the tab on the can of soda. She sticks the licorice whip in the soda and hands it back to him.] Licorice flavored soda. It's yummy.

You are so fucking cute. [ He just wants to squish her. Which would be un-Allerdyce of him. Yes. There is such a manner of behaving. It means to act like a badass at all times. And he didn't just use the word cute. ]

Okay. So The Brunch Club. Let's do this.

[She likes being called cute though. She also likes being squished. She won't tell anyone, besides there's something to be said for acting in a manner that makes people underestimate you. She's gotten it down to a science. She grins at him and starts the movie.]

You're gonna want to add 'genius' to that when you taste the soda. [She leans against him. No use having people come over and watch movies with you if you don't snuggle.]

[ He casually puts him arm behind her, resting it on the couch as he drinks the soda. ]

Not bad, genius. [ He smirks. ] Now who's in this movie and what's it about?

[Oh good. That was his move.] Not that I'm the told-you-so kind of cute, genius but...[She looks side to side in an exaggerated manner.]

Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, a Broody guy I can't remember but he's important because...broody guy. [And for the audience, what's Buffy's type...ah yes, I think we see where the important is coming from] and some other people. They all have Saturday morning detention.

Saturday morning detention, huh? Now that I can relate to.

[ He suddenly cranes his neck to look behind them. ] Dawn's out?

Yup. At work. So's Aya. [Contemplatively she looks up at him, sort of an upside down sort of deal from her position.] You got fuzzy. [Her fingers are very itchy to reach up and run them over his beard but she's not certain it's really allowed.]

Mm hm. I got lazy. [ He's not gonna pull away from the touch if she decides to give his chin a rub. ]

I think you're allowed here. [After a moment, she does reach up and run her fingers over his stubbled jawline.]

Guess that's it then. I'm just gonna be a couch potato from now on. [ He turns his head and makes a fake attempt to bite at her fingers. ]

But I'm going to need some Terminator, Gladiator, Jaws, Piranha, Chucky... Okay, maybe not Chucky. [ As a kid, he hated that stupid freak doll. ]

[The fake attempt makes her giggle anyway.]

Dolls are creepy. No movies with creepy dolls. Mmmm I'll come over occasionally to keep you from getting bored. Break it up with Saturday morning detention movies. [Because there are so many of those.]

Tell me detention movies are code for porn.

[She's just going to laugh.]

You're cute.

And here I thought you were going to call me a dirty, dirty man.

There's that too but the cute delusional part makes up for the dirty man part.

I'm losing macho manly points every time you throw the word cute out, Summers. But I'll accept delusional. A guy has to be to want to sit through this. [ He points at the screen. ] Then again, this soda's good.

And so's the company.

Delusional and very manly to sit through this. [She smiles at him, watching him for a moment.] Thanks. You've made my day a lot better.
